Tribute to my dear friend Bebeyo! My dear Egbon! It is hard to imagine this world without your vibrant energy, smiles and enthusiasm for the work of the Lord. What a wonderful friendship journey we had these 52 years when we first met at the Lagos State School of Nursing in 1968. An epitome of strength, courage, resilience and dedication. You were passionate about your family, especially your children and grandchildren, your work and most dear to your heart, your unwavering love and service to God and those around you. You were a positive influence on me throughout the course of our friendship. Most of my visits to various countries were influenced by you and accompanied with you. Oh! how I would treasure those memories, the many good times, and yes there were sad times but you overcame them by the love of Jesus Christ. I will miss spending vacations with you and our prayer times together. I will miss the jolliness of our friendship and the inspirational prayers you send daily. My children will miss your motherly love and my siblings, the Gbededo family, will miss your sisterly affection. But I rejoice in the knowledge that you are in heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ where we shall meet and depart no more What shall I say unto the Lord, all I have to say is Thank you Lord for giving me precious years with Olufunke Adeyeye. Rest in peace my dear friend and sister. You will always be remembered! Rebecca Mausi Yebovi-Lawson (nee Gbededo)
